2nd Interview with Danny Fisher Yesterday, Thursday, 21 March 2013, the first round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament began.  Our General Manager, Danny Fisher, is a huge college ball fan, so this year he's dedicated some blog space to talk a little ball with our fans.  Earlier this week, we posted his picks for the tournament on our March Madness page.  He correctly picked 14 of the 16 games played, so it seems he might know a little about basketball!  I talked to him for a few minutes about the games last night asked him for his thoughts about tonight's match-ups:

Me:  Hey Danny.  So what do you think of the results yesterday?
Danny:  I picked 14 correctly.  14 to 2. One of those two upsets I called too.  Butler over Bucknell.

Me: Which two did you miss?
Danny:  Harvard over New Mexico and California over UNLV.

Me:  What happened in the Harvard / New Mexico game?
Danny:  Harvard is a the kind of team that teams hate to play.  They do the fundamentals. Boxing Out.  Teams with IQ are teams that other teams hate to play.

Me:  And UNLV?
Danny:  I didn't watch UNLV, so I don't know what happened there.

Me:  I see that President Obama only got 9 of his picks right.
Danny:  He didn't do very well on the first round.  Let's see how he does on the second.

Me: Which games did you watch?
Danny:  The Michigan vs Valparaiso game, the Butler vs Bucknell game, Oregon vs Oklahoma State, Louisville vs N. Carolina A&T, VCU vs Akron, and Gonzaga vs Southern.  Parts of them anyway.  Southern gave Gonzaga all they wanted until the last two minutes of the game when Gonzaga eeked out a win.

Me:  I heard that VCU dominated Akron.
Danny:  It was brutal.  A couple of the Akron players had the flu.  Let's hope that none of the VCU players get sick.

Me:  So what are the games to watch today?
Danny:  # 1 seed Indiana and JMU. James Madison won the CAA Title which got them into the play in games. They are a good, solid team.  Long and athletic.  The man in the middle, I think his last name is Gowens.  A space heater.  A good ball player.  Indiana better not be looking forward to other games or JMU is going to put it to them.  Other possible upsets could be Iowa State over Notre Dame or Lasalle over Kansas State.  Lasalle beat VCU during the regular season on VCU's home court.  Solid team.  Kansas State could have their hands full.  Michigan has a hard weekend ahead of them.  They better lace 'em up tight 'cause it's gonna be a track meet.  They better start taking oxygen now.  Shout out to the Peppas!

Me:  On that note, let's listen to the Peppas creating Havoc in NYC!
