    Amidst talk of autonomous vehicles, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety remains focused on bettering the cars still operated by humans.

    Part of that mission includes the new IIHS ratings program for front crash prevention, which was introduced last year, and has already being implemented by a number of manufacturers.

    Hyundai Motor Corp.
    on Thursday unveiled a new luxury sedan aimed at halting the flow of customers to imported premium brands on the South Korean auto maker's home turf.

    Hyundai has announced the 2015 Sonata will be priced from $21,150 in the United States.

    The entry-level SE comes sparsely equipped but features LED daytime running lights, a rear spoiler and 16-inch alloy wheels. The model also has air conditioning, a tilt / telescoping steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system.

    The Sonata Sport costs $23,175 and includes a revised grille, a dual exhaust system and 17-inch alloy wheels. The model also has heated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat and an infotainment system with a 5-inch display.
