Trim Levels
The four trim levels of the 2023 Hyundai Elantra that drivers can choose from include the SE, SEL, Limited, and N Line.
- The SE is the base model with 15-inch wheels, automatic headlights, keyless entry, and a 60/40-split folding rear seatback. You can stay entertained as you cruise around Midlothian with a four-speaker sound system with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, and two USB ports.
- The SEL builds on the SE with 16-inch wheels, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, automatic high beams, and heated mirrors. The interior sports an eight-way power driver seat, a six-way power front passenger seat, satellite radio, and Hyundai's Blue Link smartphone integration.
- The top-of-the-line Limited comes standard with 18-inch wheels, adaptive headlights, a sunroof, woodgrain interior trim, and Qi wireless smartphone charging. It also has an eight-way power passenger seat, driver's seat memory settings, heated front seats and a steering wheel, a navigation system, and an eight-speaker Infinity premium audio system.
- The N Line trim level comes with a sport-tuned suspension, bigger brakes, a more aggressive body kit, 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, N Line interior and exterior badges, and special floor mats.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the Elantra is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants. The front-wheel drive model gets power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This engine connects to a six-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive model draws power from a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This engine also pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. Additional performance elements include Sport and Eco modes, as well as a sport-tuned suspension on the all-wheel drive model.
Design
The interior features a new dashboard and console design, an updated infotainment system, and a host of other new features and technologies that will make commuting from Mechanicsville to Glen Allen, VA enjoyable. The seats appear redesigned for improved comfort, and the cabin has sound insulation to reduce noise levels. The interior is also now more spacious than before, thanks to the increase in overall length. The infotainment system has a new 8-inch touchscreen display, and it comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A premium Bose audio system is also available as an option. For navigation, there's a new Hyundai Navigation system that uses live traffic data to provide route guidance.
The exterior of the 2023 Hyundai Elantra is now bigger than before. The front end appears dominated by Hyundai's signature cascading grille, flanked by slim headlights and LED daytime running lights. The rear end features a spoiler and LED taillights that wrap around the sides of the car. The exterior also boasts 16-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment, and 18-inch alloys are available as an option.
