Trim Levels
We carry five trims of the latest Hyundai Sonata. The Sonata SE is the entry-level option. It's sure to impress you with all its technology and safety components. With heated front seats, a hands-free trunk release and a larger touchscreen, the SEL offers a more premium package. The SEL Plus is notable because it runs on the 1.6-liter turbo engine, and it has wireless charging and the Hyundai Digital Key program. The N Line is the most advanced when it comes to performance, and the Limited has the most luxurious features for Mechanicsville drivers to enjoy, including a remote parking program and a head-up display.
Interior Features
Because of its modern lighting and aerodynamic shape, the Sonata gives off a modern vibe. LED lights are standard, and so are LED taillights. The LED Daytime Running Lights can be easily seen, too. Whenever you need more light at night, the high beams can automatically turn on. Other convenient features found on the outside of the Hyundai Sonata include automatic headlights and side mirrors with heating elements and LED turn signal indicators. Black and chrome accents are available, as is a twin tip exhaust.
Inside the cabin of some Sonata trims, Chesterfield, VA shoppers can find some lovely amenities, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather upholstery. The front seats are very supportive and can be adjusted to your preferences. If you get a model with a panoramic sunroof, the cabin feels even more spacious.
The Sonata is able to offer almost 35 inches of second-row leg room. The trunk is fairly sizable, having a volume of 16 cubic feet. It's convenient that the rear seatback can be folded down, since this gives you more cargo space whenever you need it. The seatback has a 60/40 split configuration that offers some flexibility.
Safety Features
A lot of technology has been incorporated into this car. The base trim has an 8.0-inch touchscreen, HD Radio™ and smartphone connectivity. The rest of the trims in the lineup get to have 10.25-inch touchscreens with SiriusXM® and integrated navigation. This is a significant factor that has helped the Sonata attract a lot of attention. Higher trims can also have 12.3-inch digital instrument clusters, second-row USB charging ports and wireless charging.
The Sonata is nicely equipped with plenty of safety features. All the trims have several different driver-assist systems that can jump into action in an instant. For instance, if you're following another vehicle too closely, not paying attention to the road or drifting out of your lane, the Sonata can warn you. It can also help you correct your steering and apply the brakes if necessary. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard, too, and some trims have reverse automatic braking and surround view monitors to help you stay safe throughout your Midlothian errands.
Performance Features
There are three powertrain options for Glen Allen, VA customers can consider. The first is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that has plenty of capability. It can make 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. The remaining choices are both turbocharged engines. One of them has a displacement of 1.6 liters, and the other is a turbocharged 2.5-liter version. The turbocharged 1.6-liter engine can generate 180 horsepower along with 195 pound-feet of torque, and the larger turbo engine is much more powerful. It would be a good option for anyone in the Richmond area who loves the thrill of driving since it can deliver 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque.
All of the Sonata models at West Broad Hyundai come with front-wheel drive. Most have eight-speed automatic transmissions, but the N Line trim, which gets to have the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine, features an eight-speed wet dual clutch transmission.
